Surrounded by 15 hectares of landscaped gardens and grounds, the chateau is accessed by a stately treelined boulevard.

As you approach this exceptional chateau, you’re greeted by the impressive and majestic dimensions epitomizing the purest tradition of eighteenth-century architecture.

The sumptuous central hall leads us into the heart of this stunning property with its high ceilings and equally impressive windows. The ”grand salon” measuring over 60m2 enjoys views of the newly landscaped french gardens. The adjoining dining room is dominated by the fabulous ’Viollet-le-Duc’ fireplace and resonates the opulence of the epoch. The music room has also been restored to its former grandeur by the present owners. A private chapelle, second sitting room and the owners quarters make up the rest of the ground floor.

On the first floor, the Grand Gallery stretches almost forty meters, crossing the entire length of the Chateau. ’La chambre du Marquis’ and the ’chambre du marquises have both been painstakingly restored to their former glory.

Each bedroom and antechamber is a fabulous glimpse of the opulent 18th century.

The Orangerie

South west facing and with a private garden the ’Orangerie’ boasts a vast reception room that can accommodate 150 seated guests and can be extended to the gardens.

The Orangerie, equipped with a professional kitchen, is the perfect venue for a wide range of events: weddings, seminars, cocktail parties, conferences, corporate meals, etc.

The Gardens

The current owners have ambitiously recreated the original gardens from antiques images and plans and restored them to their former splendour.

A superb bassin measuring 35m x 20m, mirrors the majestic beauty of the castle.

The Grand Gite

With a vast private courtyard and views of the Chateau’s parkland, the gite offers 90m2 of living space. It features a hallway, kitchen, bathroom, spacious living room, master bedroom and second bedroom.

The Petit Gite

With its own private courtyard and west facing views it offers 55m2 of living space, and includes a kitchen, bathroom, living room, and a double bedroom.

A Unique Opportunity

This magnificent Chateau is an outstanding testament to the timeless elegance of eighteenth-century architecture. The independent annexes offer a unique opportunity to develop a fabulous hospitality venue.

Forcalquier is one of the most historically significant towns in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, a former medieval capital that retains its civic weight through its cathedral, its Monday market, and its position at the edge of the Luberon and the Lure mountain range. The old town rises to a citadel crowned by a 19th-century chapel, and the surrounding countryside is among the most intact in inland Provence, defined by lavender fields, dry stone walls, and wide agricultural plateaus.

The Monday market on the Place du Bourguet is one of the most established in the region. The town has a good selection of independent restaurants and cafés along the old town streets. Manosque, the nearest commercial centre, is approximately 20 kilometres south and offers a broader range of retail and services. The Luberon villages of Mane and Lurs are within a short drive.

Forcalquier sits on the N100 corridor connecting Apt to Manosque, placing it within roughly one hour of Aix-en-Provence by car. Manosque-Gréoux-les-Bains TGV station, approximately 25 kilometres south, provides high-speed rail access to Paris in around three hours. Marseille Provence Airport is approximately 90 kilometres south, reachable in under 90 minutes, and serves an extensive network of European and international destinations.
