Estepona Villa

Estepona occupies a distinct position on the Costa del Sol, sitting between Marbella to the east and Gibraltar to the south, with the Sierra Bermeja mountains forming a dramatic backdrop. Unlike much of the coast, Estepona has retained a recognisable Andalusian character: its old town, centred on the Plaza de las Flores, is well-maintained, genuinely inhabited, and known across the region for its flower-lined streets and whitewashed facades. The town has invested heavily in its public realm over the past decade, earning a reputation as one of the more considered and liveable municipalities on the western Costa del Sol.

Daily life here combines coastal and inland options. The Paseo Marítimo runs along a long sandy beach with established restaurants including El Gaviero and La Escollera. The old town market on Calle Castillo handles fresh produce. The Estepona Golf course sits just outside town, and Puerto Banús is approximately 20 minutes east by car.

Estepona sits on the A-7 coastal road and the AP-7 toll motorway, placing Marbella around 30 minutes east and Gibraltar around 45 minutes southwest. Málaga Airport, the main international hub for the Costa del Sol, is approximately 85 kilometres east, roughly one hour by car, with direct connections to most major European cities. The nearest high-speed rail station is in Málaga city, served by AVE services to Madrid in under two and a half hours.
