Mountain Retreat With Stunning Valley Views

Esporles is a small historic town in the Serra de Tramuntana, the mountain range that runs along the northwest coast of Mallorca and holds UNESCO World Heritage status. The town sits in a narrow valley carved by the Torrent de la Granja, surrounded by terraced olive groves and pine-covered slopes. It has retained a genuinely local character, with stone architecture, a modest central square, and a pace of life that distinguishes it clearly from the coastal resort towns.

Day-to-day essentials are covered in the town itself, including a weekly market and small independent shops. The village of Banyalbufar, known for its terraced vineyards, is a short drive west. The La Granja estate, a historic manor house open to visitors, is immediately outside town. Palma’s restaurants, including Marc Fosh and Aromata, are under 20 minutes by car.

Esporles sits approximately 16 kilometres northwest of Palma, reachable in around 20 minutes by car via the Ma-1040. Public bus connections to Palma operate regularly from the town centre. Palma de Mallorca Airport is roughly 30 kilometres from Esporles, approximately 30 to 35 minutes by car, and serves direct routes to most major European cities year-round, with frequency increasing significantly during summer months.
