I’m in Vilert, a small village in the municipality of Esponellà, set between the landscapes of Pla de l’Estany and the Empordà. A peaceful place surrounded by nature, where you can still hear the silence, and where the beaches of Sant Martí d’Empúries are approximately 35 minutes away by car.

Vilert is neither a tourist development nor a place that becomes overcrowded during the summer. It is a small rural village, with the river and nature close by, good connections to Banyoles, Besalú, Figueres, Girona and the Empordà, and the coast close enough to enjoy without having to live there.

Perhaps that is why I’m not a house for everyone.
