There are houses where it’s hard to believe you’re right in the middle of the city. This is one of them.
The first thing that caught my attention was the silence.
But a real silence.

There are houses where it’s hard to believe you’re right in the middle of the city. This is one of them.
The first thing that caught my attention was the silence.
But a real silence.
You are in the Antiguo neighborhood, less than a ten-minute walk from Ondarreta beach and Matía street. However, you enter the house, close the door, and the only thing you hear are the birds.
This is not a figure of speech; it is literal.
From the living room and one of the bedrooms, the views open onto a wooded area that makes it hard to believe you are in a city like San Sebastián. On the other side of the house, the kitchen and the master bedroom enjoy completely open views of Antiguo, Igueldo, and the sea.
It is an unusual combination.
Nature on one side. Sea and city on the other.
Originally, the house had three bedrooms, but the owner decided to enlarge the living room by joining one of them. The result is a spacious, very pleasant area with a lot of character. And if someone ever needed to recover that third bedroom, it would be very easy; the layout allows it.
Currently, the house has two bedrooms, a large living room, an independent kitchen, and a full bathroom with a new shower tray, all exterior.
Additionally, the building has a pleasant communal garden area, a small corner that is always appreciated for sitting outside for a while.
Now, I will tell you the only aspect that might make this house not suitable for everyone.
It is located on Palacio street, a street with a slope, and the house is on the third floor without an elevator.
If you are looking for a building with an elevator or want to completely forget about stairs, this is probably not your house; there are quite a few others.
But if that is not a problem for you, in return you will enjoy something that is very hard to find today: absolute tranquility, privileged views, and the feeling of living surrounded by nature, just a walk away from the beach and everything Antiguo offers.
Because in the end, every house has its priorities.
And this one aims to offer you something that cannot be added later: silence, light, and a truly special environment.
