This picturesque mountain village is best known for the Risnjak National Park. The park’s headquarters and main entrance are located here.

The Risnjak and Snježnik mountains were declared a national park back in 1953 due to their diverse flora and fauna, as well as the well-preserved numerous forest communities. The park is home to all three of Europe’s large carnivores - the wolf, bear, and lynx. In addition to the well-maintained educational trail Leska, it’s also worth visiting the source of the Kupa River.
