Villa With Stunning View

Châteauneuf is a hilltop village in the Alpes-Maritimes, set in the hills above the Var valley between Grasse and Vence. The village retains the compact medieval character typical of the arrière-pays, with stone streets, a fortified church, and views that extend south toward the coast. It sits at an elevation that keeps it noticeably cooler than the coastal strip while remaining within easy reach of the Côte d’Azur’s main centres.

The village has a small cluster of local shops and a weekly market. Vence, roughly ten minutes by car, offers a broader range of restaurants, the Matisse Chapel, and daily markets. Grasse, the historic centre of the French perfume industry, is a similar distance to the southwest. Saint-Paul-de-Vence, with its galleries and the Fondation Maeght, is also within a fifteen-minute drive.

Nice Côte d’Azur International Airport is approximately 30 kilometres from Châteauneuf, reachable in around 30 to 40 minutes by car depending on traffic. The A8 motorway provides direct access to Monaco, Cannes, and Aix-en-Provence. The nearest TGV connection is Nice-Ville station, which links to Paris in around five and a half hours and to other major French cities via the high-speed network.
