Casares is a municipality in the western Costa del Sol, in the province of Málaga, encompassing both a historic hilltop village and a coastal strip known as Casares Costa. The coastal zone sits within a stretch of coastline that has remained comparatively low-density, bordered by the Serranía de Ronda foothills to the north and the Mediterranean to the south. The area carries a quieter, more residential character than the busier resort towns to the east, while still benefiting from the infrastructure of the broader Costa del Sol.

Finca Cortesin, one of the most acclaimed golf and beach club addresses on the Costa del Sol, is directly adjacent to this area. The coastal boardwalk at Casares Costa connects a string of beach bars and restaurants. Estepona, with its covered market, old town, and wider retail offer, is approximately 15 minutes by car.

Casares Costa sits roughly 100 kilometres west of Málaga Airport, the main international hub for the Costa del Sol, with a drive of approximately one hour via the AP-7 motorway. Gibraltar Airport is around 35 kilometres to the southwest, offering an alternative entry point with direct connections to the United Kingdom. Marbella is reachable in under 30 minutes by car, and Sotogrande is approximately 20 minutes to the west.
