Casares Urban Plot

Casares is a white hilltop village in the western reaches of the Costa del Sol, set within the municipality of Málaga province at an elevation that commands views across the surrounding sierras and, on clear days, toward the Strait of Gibraltar and the North African coastline. Its compact, labyrinthine streets and Moorish-influenced architecture have earned it recognition as one of Andalusia’s most visually striking pueblos blancos, drawing comparisons with Ronda and Frigiliana for the integrity of its historic fabric.

Daily life centres on the village square, Plaza de España, with local bars and the weekly market serving residents. The coastal strip at Casares Costa, roughly 15 kilometres away, provides beach access, restaurants, and supermarkets. Estepona, the nearest significant town, is approximately 20 minutes by car and offers a full range of services, dining, and a marina.

Casares sits approximately 100 kilometres west of Málaga and around 30 kilometres from Marbella, both accessible via the AP-7 toll motorway. Gibraltar Airport is roughly 45 kilometres to the southwest, offering direct connections to the United Kingdom and other European destinations.
