Carqueiranne is a small coastal commune on the Giens Peninsula, between Hyères and Toulon, where the Var hinterland meets the Mediterranean. The village retains a genuinely residential character, with a historic centre built around a Romanesque church and a working port that has never been overtaken by mass tourism. The surrounding landscape, protected in part by the Parc National de Port-Cros, combines pine-covered hills, rocky coastline, and clear water that draws serious sailors and divers rather than seasonal crowds.
The village centre, a short drive from most residential addresses, has a weekly market, several fish restaurants along the port, and a handful of cafés. The beaches of La Garonne and Les Salins are within easy reach. Hyères, with its larger commercial offer, covered market, and medical facilities, is approximately ten minutes by car.
Toulon is roughly 20 kilometres to the west, accessible in under 30 minutes by car, and offers a TGV connection to Paris Gare de Lyon in approximately three and a half hours. Toulon-Hyères Airport is around 15 kilometres from Carqueiranne, with direct flights to Paris and several European cities. Nice Côte d’Azur Airport, the main regional hub, is approximately 90 kilometres east via the A8 motorway.
