Residential Capdepera Spain

Capdepera occupies the northeastern tip of Mallorca, defined by its medieval hilltop castle, a largely intact 14th-century fortification that dominates the skyline and gives the town a sense of historical weight rare even by Mallorcan standards. The surrounding municipality is among the least developed on the island, with pine-covered hills, rocky coves, and a coastline that has resisted the mass-market resort pattern found further south. The result is a quieter, more considered version of Mallorca.

The town centre has a weekly market on Wednesdays. Cala Rajada, the fishing port within the municipality, offers waterfront restaurants including Es Mollet and La Caracola. The beaches of Cala Agulla and Cala Mesquida are within a short drive. Artà, a well-regarded inland town with strong local commerce, is approximately 12 kilometres west.

Palma de Mallorca Airport is approximately 80 kilometres from Capdepera, reached in around one hour by car via the Ma-15 motorway. The airport operates year-round international routes to major European cities, with significantly expanded connections from April through October. There is no rail connection to this part of the island. Cala Rajada has a ferry service to Ciutadella in Menorca during the summer season, crossing in approximately 75 minutes.
