Residential Capdepera Spain

Capdepera occupies the northeastern tip of Mallorca, defined by its medieval hilltop castle, a largely intact 14th-century fortification that dominates the skyline and gives the town a sense of historical weight rare even by Mallorcan standards. The surrounding municipality is among the least developed on the island, with pine-covered hills, rocky coves, and a coastline that has resisted the mass-market resort pattern found further south. The result is a quieter, more considered version of Mallorca.

The town centre has a working weekly market and a concentration of independent restaurants and cafés around Plaça de l’Orient. Cala Rajada, the fishing port within the municipality, offers direct beach access, boat hire, and a marina. Cala Mesquida and Cala Agulla, both within a short drive, are among the most unspoiled beaches on the island.

Palma de Mallorca is approximately 75 kilometres to the southwest, roughly an hour by car via the Ma-15. Palma Airport handles direct flights to most major European cities and several long-haul destinations, with journey time from Capdepera of around 55 to 65 minutes by road. There is no rail connection to this part of the island, so a car is essential for daily life and for reaching the airport reliably.
