Capdepera occupies the northeastern tip of Mallorca, one of the least developed and most scenically intact corners of the island. The town is defined by its medieval hilltop castle, Castell de Capdepera, a 14th-century fortified enclosure that remains the dominant landmark of the area and gives the town a distinct historical identity. The surrounding landscape of pine-covered hills, dry stone walls, and almond groves sets it apart from the more built-up resort zones to the south.

The nearby coastal village of Cala Ratjada, roughly four kilometres away, offers a working harbour, fish restaurants along the waterfront, and a weekly market. The Golf Club de Son Servera, one of Mallorca’s established courses, is within ten minutes by car. Artà, a well-preserved inland town with a strong local market and cultural scene, is approximately fifteen minutes west.

Palma de Mallorca Airport is approximately 80 kilometres from Capdepera, a drive of around one hour via the Ma-15 motorway. Palma itself, the island’s capital and main commercial centre, is reachable in roughly the same time. The airport operates year-round international routes to major European cities, with significantly expanded connections from April through October, making the northeast of Mallorca accessible without requiring a connection through mainland Spain.
