Residential Campos Spain

Campos is a quiet agricultural municipality in the southern interior of Mallorca, set among flat plains of wheat fields, salt flats, and almond groves. It retains a distinctly local character that separates it from the more tourist-oriented towns of the island. The historic centre is built around the 17th-century parish church of Sant Julià, and the town’s architecture reflects centuries of rural Mallorcan tradition, with stone manor houses and working farmsteads defining the landscape.

The weekly Saturday market in the town square is a practical anchor for daily life. The salt lagoon of Es Trenc, one of Mallorca’s most protected and undeveloped coastlines, is a ten-minute drive south. The town has a small but functional selection of local restaurants, bakeries, and food shops. Palma is approximately 40 kilometres to the northwest.

Campos sits roughly 40 kilometres from Palma de Mallorca by road, a journey of around 35 to 40 minutes via the Ma-19 and Ma-5014. Palma’s Son Sant Joan International Airport handles direct routes to most major European cities, with flight times of under two and a half hours to London, Paris, and Frankfurt. There is no rail connection to Campos directly, making a car essential for daily use.
