Residential Cala Rajada Spain

Capdepera occupies the northeastern tip of Mallorca, defined by its medieval hilltop castle, rugged coastline, and a pace of life that has resisted the mass tourism that reshaped much of the island. The municipality encompasses Cala Rajada, the main port town, along with a series of coves including Cala Agulla, Cala Mesquida, and Cala Torta. The landscape here is markedly wilder than the southwest, with pine-covered headlands dropping to clear water and relatively uncrowded beaches.

Cala Rajada has a working harbour with a daily fish market, a concentrated restaurant strip along the waterfront, and independent shops serving a year-round local population. Cala Agulla beach is a ten-minute drive. Artà, one of Mallorca’s most architecturally intact inland towns, is approximately fifteen minutes by car.

Palma de Mallorca is roughly 75 kilometres from Capdepera, a journey of around one hour by car via the Ma-15. Palma Airport handles direct flights to most major European cities and several intercontinental routes, with journey time from Capdepera to the airport typically between 55 and 70 minutes depending on traffic. There is no direct rail connection to this part of the island; private car or taxi remains the standard means of transport.
