Capdepera occupies the northeastern tip of Mallorca, defined by its medieval hilltop castle, rugged coastline, and a pace of life that has remained largely unchanged despite the island’s broader development. The municipality encompasses Cala Rajada, the main coastal hub, along with a series of coves including Cala Agulla, Cala Mesquida, and Cala Torta. The landscape here is markedly wilder than the southwest of the island, with pine-covered dunes and clear water that attract a discerning, largely European clientele.

Cala Rajada has a working fishing harbour alongside restaurants such as Es Cranc and a concentrated dining and marina scene. Capdepera town offers a weekly market and everyday provisions. The beaches of Cala Agulla and Cala Mesquida are within a short drive, and the golf course at Capdepera Golf is five minutes from the town centre.

Palma de Mallorca is approximately 75 kilometres from Capdepera, reached in around one hour by car via the Ma-15. Palma Airport, the island’s main international gateway, handles direct routes to most major European cities and is roughly 80 kilometres away, approximately one hour by road. There is no rail connection to this part of the island, making a car essential for daily life.
