The Sardinian farmers who came to Tuscany from Sardinia in the 1960s to breed sheep were less interested in the old farmhouses than in grazing land for their animals. Only the ground floors of the buildings were used as stables, and as these were usually too small, large shed-like stables were also built for feeding and milking the sheep. It is therefore understandable that no work was ever carried out on the old farmhouse, which is not habitable and needs to be restored from the scratch.
