This important Venetian Villa was designed by the architect Andrea Da Valle and built in the sixteenth century on the ruins of the fourteenth-century castle of the Maccaruffo, of which it preserves intact the habitable medieval tower, with the emblem of the Carraresi that makes it unique. With its kitchen of the fourteenth century and the ancient well, it is highly considered one of the most beautiful Renaissance villas between the Venetian hinterland and Padua.
Significant also the barchessa dating back to the fifteenth century with the restored stables in which you can admire two large fireplaces of the fifteenth century and the huge arcade including eight arches resting on columns with capitals.
The complex, which also includes the gardener’s house and other additional buildings, is located in a park of five hectares where finds place a romantic English garden with a pond, the huge field with a forest in its most natural state is a true corner of paradise and of great botanical value.
