On a site once occupied by the Romans and later by the Carolingians in the 9th century, this imposing castle proudly displays its high façades from its rocky spur. Dominating the surrounding countryside and surrounded by its vast crenellated esplanade, it consists of a circular keep from the 12th and 13th centuries connecting two perpendicular wings built in the 15th century, one of which is flanked by a watchtower, a square tower, and a round tower.
