Benahavis is one of the most sought-after addresses on the Costa del Sol, a hillside municipality set in the foothills of the Sierra de las Nieves between Marbella and Estepona. Known locally as the dining room of the Costa del Sol for its concentration of quality restaurants, it combines the privacy and elevation of an inland setting with direct access to the coast. The municipality consistently ranks among the wealthiest per capita in Spain, which is reflected in the calibre of its residential developments and infrastructure.

The village of Benahavis itself offers a well-established restaurant strip along its main street, with El Porton and Los Abanicos among the long-standing local favourites. Puerto Banus is approximately 15 minutes by car, Marbella’s Golden Mile around 20 minutes, and the beaches of Estepona are similarly close. Several of the Costa del Sol’s top golf courses, including La Quinta and Los Arqueros, are within a five-minute drive.

Malaga Airport is the primary international gateway, located approximately 45 minutes east along the AP-7 motorway, with direct flights to most major European cities and connections beyond. Gibraltar Airport is around 50 minutes to the west, offering an alternative entry point. The AP-7 and A-7 coastal motorways provide straightforward access along the entire Costa del Sol corridor, and Marbella’s bus connections link the area to Malaga city centre in under an hour.
