El Paraíso is a low-density residential enclave within the municipality of Benahavis, positioned between Marbella and Estepona along what is known as the New Golden Mile. Strict planning controls have kept the area free from overdevelopment, resulting in a landscape of established villas set among mature gardens and pine-covered hillsides. The enclave divides into three distinct zones by elevation, with Paraíso Alto occupying the highest ground and commanding the broadest views toward the Mediterranean.
El Paraíso Golf, an 18-hole course designed by Gary Player, sits at the heart of the enclave and is walkable from most addresses. Hotel El Paraíso provides a local dining and social anchor. A small commercial centre covers everyday needs. Puerto Banús and Marbella town centre are each around ten minutes by car, with Estepona equally close in the opposite direction.
Malaga Airport is approximately 65 kilometres east via the AP-7 motorway, a journey of around 45 minutes in normal traffic, providing direct access to an extensive network of European and international routes. Gibraltar Airport lies a similar distance to the west and offers an alternative for transatlantic connections. Several well-regarded international schools, including Aloha College and Laude San Pedro International College, are within a ten-minute drive.
