iad France - Nicolas Mauguy presents: Exceptional and Historic Residence in Beauvais

Former Abbey of approximately 318 m² of living space, 10 rooms, private land, garage, workshop, vaulted cellar.

Just a few minutes from the center of Beauvais, discover a place full of history and charm. This property is a preserved historic building, adorned with a remarkable sculpted portal.

The presence of this building is documented from the 11th century, with legend saying a chapel has existed here since the 6th century.

Due to its location outside the fortified city, the building was destroyed several times, notably in 1346 during the Hundred Years’ War and in 1472 during the Burgundian siege, requiring reconstruction each time.

In 1702, a seminary was established here under the influence of the Jansenist bishops of Beauvais, leading to a reorganization of the building.

During the Revolution, the remaining buildings were sold as national property and converted into a farm.

Today, only part of the building remains, featuring a sculpted portal created between the late 15th and early 16th centuries depicting two angels holding a coat of arms.
