New Development In Colonia Sant Jordi

Colonia Sant Jordi is a small coastal town on the southeastern tip of Mallorca, within the municipality of ses Salines. It sits at the edge of the Parc Natural de ses Salines d’Eivissa i Formentera, a protected natural area covering salt flats, dune systems, and some of the clearest water in the Mediterranean. The town has a low-density, unhurried character, with whitewashed architecture, a working fishing harbour, and direct access to Platja des Trenc, one of the longest unspoiled beaches on the island.

Day-to-day life centres on the harbour area, where several fish restaurants and cafés operate year-round. The weekly market in ses Salines village, a ten-minute drive inland, covers local produce and crafts. Platja des Trenc and the smaller Platja des Dolç are both reachable within minutes by car or bicycle. Campos, the nearest market town, is approximately 15 kilometres north.

Palma de Mallorca is roughly 55 kilometres from Colonia Sant Jordi, a journey of around 45 to 50 minutes by car via the Ma-19 motorway. Palma Airport, one of the busiest in Spain with direct connections to most major European cities and year-round service to Madrid and Barcelona, is approximately 50 kilometres away, or around 40 minutes by car. There is no direct rail connection to the town, making a car essential for residents.
