New Development In Cala Ratjada

Cala Ratjada occupies the northeastern tip of Mallorca, a position that gives it a distinct character within the Balearic Islands. The town combines an active fishing harbour with a well-established residential community, and its coastline includes some of the most sheltered coves on the island. The surrounding Cap de Capdepera headland is largely protected natural land, which limits development and preserves the area’s scale. The overall feel is unhurried and genuinely local by Mallorcan standards.

Cala Agulla and Cala Mesquida are the principal beaches, both within a short drive or walk. The harbour promenade has a concentration of restaurants and cafés. The medieval castle of Capdepera is five minutes inland by car. Artà, a well-regarded inland town with a strong market and restaurant scene, is approximately 15 minutes away.

Palma de Mallorca is approximately 80 kilometres from Cala Ratjada, a journey of around one hour by car via the Ma-15 motorway. Palma Son Sant Joan International Airport handles direct routes to most major European cities and is the primary gateway for the island. Ferry connections from Palma link Mallorca to Barcelona, Valencia, and other Balearic islands, with crossings ranging from roughly four to eight hours depending on the route and service.
