The hermitage was thus transformed into a small ”country” castle used precisely to host the owners and their court for leisure and entertainment. The Palazzo remained the property of the Monaldeschi family for 500 years and retained its original appearance until 1600. Paolo Antonio Monaldeschi, the last male heir of the family, decided to completely renovate the building. Thus he entrusted himself to the well-known architect Giovan Battista Gazale di Vignanello who redesigned it in a Baroque style.

The Palazzo includes numerous rooms and outdoor spaces, such as the roof garden, to accommodate up to 300 people in the context of a splendid Baroque Historical Residence, ideal for unforgettable receptions. Just to name a few, the Sala Specchi welcomes up to 140 guests, the Sala Arazzo up to 90; the Sala Tevere, with up to 40 period canvases representing glimpses of the Teverina; finally, the Sala dei Rosoni would allow, with a reception of 50 seats, to exceed, overall, the number of 300 guests.
