Agritourism In Bagni DI Lucca

Romanesque village surrounded by nature, facing South, on the naturalistic path along the Brenner state road, you arrive at the fully active Agritourism complex, included in ”The tour of the five medieval villages”, it is a village restored in a conservative way using bio-architecture, and it has been appropriately made ”Self-sufficient” by the foresight of the Owner.

The ability to produce well-being has been combined to the best, almost blending into nature: spring waters, solar panels, fruit and vegetable crops and farms of poultry of various kinds, making it almost completely self-sufficient. It offers accommodation in apartments and is accessed via a gate, a road in the woods and a suggestive bridge, which guarantee its tranquility and exclusivity. also for the adjoining restaurant with D.O.C.G.

The Restaurant is located in the center of the medieval village. It has an internal room, with exposed stone, made in the old stables, wooden tables and shelves made from local trees and a fireplace.

In the warm season is possible to dine in an external room with panoramic view on the entire valley, with a barbecue used for great grilling.

The cuisine is the traditional one of Tuscany, based only on simple and genuine ingredients but mixed with passion and fantasy, always chosen among the season products. Pasta is home made, meat comes from internal breeding or certified local breeding, such as eggs, diary products, certified DOP flour and local vegetables. We serve bread and buns made of local flour and cooked in the wood oven.

The Country House Pian di Fiume, completely surrounded by pleasant and sunny nature, is crossed by clear and charming water of the river Lima, which gives its name to the valley.

Pian di Fiume, is located halfway up the hill above the river, has been realized respecting the architecture and the landscape of the area, thanks to a careful work conservative restoration that brought back to life the ancient hamlet, from which the country house takes name.

In line with the maximum respect for the environment, agritourism use a system of constructed wetlands for sewage and an alternative power plant with photovoltaic and solar panels. Also during the restoration they have opted for the use of traditional natural materials like cork, native wood, stone and terracotta.
