Backcountry - Auribeau-sur-Siagne / 10.5 km from the sea. Large charming villa with potential for development. Built on a rocky spur since the 12th century, the village of Auribeau-sur-Siagne has a turbulent history (14th-century wars, plague). It was abandoned by its inhabitants at that time and repopulated in 1497 by Ligurians who developed pastoralism and created shepherds’ chapels to provide a place of prayer for shepherds and shelter for their flocks. The first part of this villa was built in the 15th and 16th centuries in the form of a chapel. (The cross is still present on the ridge, as well as the openings of the old stained glass windows). The chapel was later expanded twice: once in the 1950s and again in the 1980s with the addition of a swimming pool. Together, these form a large family Provençal house of 255 m² and an independent artist’s studio of an additional 150 m² (currently unused but registered). A wonderful project for a true Provençal home with a real history! Villa includes: On the ground floor: - Entrance - Living room with fireplace - Dining room - Kitchen - Toilet with hand basin - Office/library - 1 en-suite bedroom (bath and toilet) - 2 independent but connected rooms (with living room, kitchen, shower room, and 1 bedroom/terraces) On the upper floor: - Mezzanine (used as office/library) - Suite with bathroom and toilet - 3 bedrooms and shower room without toilet - 2 bathrooms with toilets - Terraces for some bedrooms Additional features: - 10 parking spaces - Swimming pool approximately 12 x 5.5 m - Very large pool house and summer kitchen For lovers of authenticity!
