Antibes occupies a singular position on the Côte d’Azur, sitting between Cannes and Nice on a peninsula that has drawn residents of consequence for centuries. The old town, enclosed by Vauban-designed ramparts, gives the city a density of history and architectural character that newer resort towns along the coast cannot replicate.
