The protected Gjerstad watercourse offers excellent fishing with a strong population of trout. Several scenic hiking trails begin right from the cabin area and pass through cultural landscapes with unique natural experiences. In winter, you can put on your skis right outside the cabin and access groomed trails or explore freely in the mountain terrain. It’s also a short drive to the small village of Felle, where you’ll find a local general store.

Nissedal/Gjerstad area: Only 40 minutes by car to Gautefall Alpine Center, and 25 minutes to Vestøl/Gjerstad with additional groomed ski trails. Great opportunities for hunting and fishing in the area around Felle. Felle Fiskelag provides liming and offers free boat rentals. The surrounding forests are typically rich in edible mushrooms during the season.

Grestjønn, about a 10-minute walk from the cabin, has recently been enhanced with two tons of fresh sand, making it a great swimming spot. There is also a swimming dock and a grilling area maintained by the local community. Plans are in place to build a shelter by the dock for shared use among Havrefjell Cabin Area residents. Friendly community workdays make it easy to get to know your cabin neighbors.

Interior Description:

Entrance:
The entrance gives a great first impression of the cabin. There’s plenty of space for coats and shoes.

Kitchen/Dining Area:
The kitchen has generous counter space with a freestanding refrigerator, gas stove, sink, and dishwasher easily accessible. It features a beautiful laminate countertop with plenty of workspace. The sink offers good water pressure and drainage. The kitchen flows nicely into the dining area, where you can gather friends and family for cozy meals.

Living Room:
The living room is bright and welcoming, featuring a charming wood-burning stove that keeps you warm during cold winter nights. Large windows flood the space with light and provide picturesque views of the surrounding terrain. There’s ample space for a comfortable seating area, perfect for movie nights with family and friends.

Bathroom:
