Alcudia occupies the northern tip of Mallorca, where a medieval walled town sits within largely intact 14th-century fortifications and opens onto one of the island’s most significant natural bays. The old town retains a coherent historic fabric, with narrow limestone streets, Roman ruins beneath the surface, and a scale that resists the overdevelopment found elsewhere on the island. It draws a buyer who wants genuine character alongside the natural landscape of the north.

The Tuesday and Sunday markets in the old town are among the largest on the island. Restaurants such as Es Cantonet and La Bóveda del Origen serve serious Mallorcan cooking within the walls. The Albufera natural park, one of the Balearics’ most important wetland reserves, borders the municipality to the south. Port d’Alcudia is a short drive for marina access and waterfront dining.

Palma de Mallorca is approximately 55 kilometres to the southwest, reachable in under an hour by car via the Ma-13 motorway. Palma Airport handles direct routes to most major European cities, with flight times of two to three hours to London, Paris, and Frankfurt. The airport is roughly 60 kilometres from Alcudia, making it a straightforward transfer of around 50 minutes outside peak summer traffic.
