Residential Alcúdia Spain

Alcudia occupies the northern tip of Mallorca, where a medieval walled town sits on a narrow isthmus between two bays. The old town, enclosed within fourteenth-century walls that remain largely intact, has a density of history unusual even by Mallorcan standards. The streets inside the walls are quiet, shaded, and lined with stone buildings that have changed little in their external character for centuries. It is one of the few places on the island where the historic fabric has not been diluted by modern development.

The weekly market on Tuesdays and Sundays draws locals and residents from across the north of the island. The Playa de Alcudia and Playa de Muro offer long stretches of fine sand within a short drive. The Port d’Alcudia marina has a working waterfront with restaurants including La Barca and Es Mollet. The Cap de Formentor peninsula is approximately thirty minutes by car.

Palma de Mallorca is approximately fifty-four kilometres to the south, a journey of around fifty minutes by car via the Ma-13 motorway. Palma Airport handles direct flights to most major European cities, with journey times from the airport to Alcudia of approximately forty-five to fifty minutes. A ferry service operates from Port d’Alcudia to Ciutadella in Menorca, crossing in approximately one hour by fast ferry.
