Alcudia occupies the northern tip of Mallorca, where a medieval walled town sits within remarkably intact 14th-century fortifications and opens onto one of the island’s most celebrated bays. The old town retains a coherent historic character, with stone archways, narrow lanes, and a weekly market that has operated for centuries. Unlike the overdeveloped southern resorts, Alcudia maintains a balance between genuine Mallorcan identity and the infrastructure expected by international buyers.

The old town offers restaurants such as Ca’n Cosme and Es Pla for traditional Mallorcan cooking. The Mercat d’Alcudia runs Tuesdays and Sundays. Platja d’Alcudia, a long sandy beach, is minutes away by car or bicycle. Port d’Alcudia provides marina facilities, waterfront dining, and ferry connections to Ciutadella in Menorca.

Palma de Mallorca is approximately 55 kilometres south, reachable in under an hour by car via the Ma-13 motorway. Palma Airport handles direct flights to most major European cities, with journey times of two to three hours to London, Paris, and Frankfurt. The airport is roughly 60 kilometres from Alcudia, making it a straightforward transfer of around 50 minutes outside peak summer traffic.
