Rustic Mountainside Finca With Vast Land In Alaró Renovation Project

Alaró is a small inland town in the Raiguer region of Mallorca, set at the foot of the Serra de Tramuntana, the mountain range that runs along the island’s northwestern spine and carries UNESCO World Heritage status. The town retains a genuinely local character, with a medieval street plan, a central square anchored by the church of Sant Bartomeu, and an agricultural identity rooted in olive groves, almond trees, and traditional stone architecture. It sits well outside the tourist circuits that define coastal Mallorca.

The town square has a handful of cafés and a weekly market. The restaurant Es Verger, on the road up to the Castell d’Alaró, is a well-known destination for roast lamb. Consell and Binissalem, both within ten minutes by car, offer additional dining and the island’s main wine-producing zone. Palma’s central market, Mercat de l’Olivar, is roughly 30 minutes away.

Alaró sits approximately 25 kilometres northeast of Palma, reached via the MA-13 motorway and local roads in around 30 minutes by car. There is no direct rail connection to the town, though Consell station on the Palma to Inca line is a short drive away. Palma de Mallorca Airport is approximately 35 kilometres from Alaró, with a journey time of around 35 to 40 minutes by car, and operates year-round international routes across Europe.
