Residential Alaró Spain

Alaró is a small inland town in the Raiguer region of Mallorca, set against the dramatic limestone escarpment of the Serra de Tramuntana. The town retains a genuinely local character that distinguishes it from the coastal resort belt, with a compact historic centre of stone buildings, a weekly market, and a pace of life oriented around the agricultural and artisan traditions that have shaped this part of the island for centuries.

The town square, Plaça de la Vila, anchors daily life with cafés and the weekly Saturday market. The restaurant Es Verger, on the road up to Castell d’Alaró, is a well-known destination. Consell and Binissalem, both within ten minutes by car, offer additional dining and the island’s main wine-producing zone.

Palma is approximately 25 kilometres to the southwest, reachable in around 30 minutes by car via the Ma-13 motorway. Palma de Mallorca Airport sits roughly 35 kilometres from Alaró, with a drive time of around 35 to 40 minutes. The airport operates year-round international routes to major European cities, with significantly expanded connections during the summer season.
