Alaró is a traditional Mallorcan village set at the foot of the Serra de Tramuntana, the mountain range that runs along the island’s northwest spine and carries UNESCO World Heritage status. The village retains a genuinely local character, with its medieval street grid, stone architecture, and weekly market unchanged by the tourism pressures that have reshaped much of the island’s coast. Consell and Santa María del Camí both have rail stations on the Palma to Inca line, placing the capital within a 40-minute train journey.
