Country House Opportunity In An Idyllic Alaró Setting

Alaró is a small inland town in the Raiguer region of Mallorca, set against the dramatic limestone escarpment of the Tramuntana range. The town is defined by its medieval street pattern, stone architecture, and the commanding presence of the Castell d’Alaró, a ruined fortress perched on a near-vertical rock formation above the valley. The Tramuntana range here carries UNESCO World Heritage status as a cultural landscape, and Alaró sits at its eastern edge, giving it a character that is distinctly rural Mallorcan without the tourist overlay found on the coast.

The town centre has a working weekly market, a handful of traditional cafés on the main square, and local restaurants serving Mallorcan cuisine. Consell and Binissalem, both within ten minutes by car, offer additional services and the island’s main wine-producing estates. Palma is approximately 30 kilometres away.

Alaró sits just off the Ma-13 motorway corridor, placing Palma city centre around 30 to 35 minutes by car under normal conditions. Palma de Mallorca Airport is approximately 35 kilometres away, reachable in under 40 minutes, and operates year-round international routes to major European cities as well as connections to mainland Spain. There is no direct rail link to Alaró, but the Palma to Inca line stops at Consell-Alaró station, roughly four kilometres from the town centre.
