Aix En Provence House

Rognes is a quiet hilltop village in the Bouches-du-Rhône, set between the Luberon and the Arc valley on the northern edge of the Aix-en-Provence basin. The village retains a distinctly Provençal character, with stone architecture, a Romanesque church, and a landscape defined by vineyards, olive groves, and garrigue. It sits within the Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence appellation, giving the surrounding agricultural land both productive value and a recognized regional identity.

Rognes has a weekly market and a handful of local restaurants and producers. The village is a short drive from the market town of Lambesc and approximately 20 minutes from central Aix-en-Provence, where the full range of dining, cultural institutions, and specialist retail is concentrated around the Cours Mirabeau and the old town.

Aix-en-Provence TGV station is roughly 25 minutes by car and connects to Paris Gare de Lyon in approximately three hours. Marseille-Provence Airport is around 35 to 40 minutes from Rognes, with direct services to major European hubs. The A51 motorway provides straightforward access south toward Marseille and north toward the Luberon and the Rhône valley.
