The Sellier is the original Kelly, first made famous by Princess Grace Kelly in 1956. It has sharp edges and visible stitching, with a rigid, ladylike structure, often crafted from harder leathers.
This superb and elegant vintage Kelly 28 by HERMÈS from 1962, the most desired size, crafted in black crocodile leather, carefully hand-stitched to perfection and gold hardware, features a trapezoidal structure, slightly wider at the base and a straight flap fastener fixed by a gold metal hardware strap. It has a short top handle. The stitching is outstanding, leather in excellent condition and the closure functions perfectly. It is a bag in an excellent condition and has recently been cleaned at the Hermès Spa. Signature: ”Hermès Paris. Hidden stamp. Includes dust bag and Hermès Spa invoice. A jewel by HERMÈS for collectors.
