Chateau Bellevue is a private 18th-century estate in Yvrac, just 25 minutes by car from central Bordeaux, along the route to the world-famous vineyards of Saint-Émilion.

The estate is approximately 15 km (9.3 miles) from Bordeaux-Saint-Jean railway station and 25 km (15.5 miles) from Bordeaux-Merignac International Airport. The Atlantic coast, including the beaches of Arcachon Bay and its renowned oyster-farming villages, is approximately 50 minutes away by car.

Within a five-minute drive are Grand Frais Montussan, a premium supermarket specializing in fresh fruit and vegetables, quality meats and dairy products, as well as everyday groceries; a full-service Intermarché supermarket in Yvrac; a Japanese restaurant; and an Italian pizzeria.

Architecture and reconstruction:

The late-18th-century facades of the main house were originally designed by the renowned French architect Victor Louis, who also designed the Grand Theatre de Bordeaux.

The entire estate was fully rebuilt from the ground up. The works included the foundations, stone walls and roofs, as well as the complete replacement of all engineering systems and equipment in the main house and every additional building.

The natural stone used for the main house was supplied from Versailles by Saint-Jacques Atelier, a specialist company involved in the maintenance of the facades of the Palace of Versailles. The interiors were designed and decorated by Paris-based designer Jean Remy Couradette.
