Vence — Eccezionale Villa Contemporanea Con Vista Mare

Vence occupies a hillside position in the Alpes-Maritimes, roughly 10 kilometres inland from the Mediterranean coast, at an elevation that keeps it noticeably cooler than the coastal resorts below. The medieval old town, enclosed by its original ramparts, centres on the Place du Peyra and the former cathedral, and has attracted artists and intellectuals for generations. Henri Matisse designed the Chapelle du Rosaire here, completed in 1951, which remains one of the most significant works of sacred modern art in France.

Daily life in Vence revolves around the Tuesday and Friday markets on Place du Grand Jardin, the restaurants and cafés along Rue du Marché, and the galleries within the old town. The Fondation Emile Hugues hosts rotating contemporary exhibitions. Nice, Antibes, and Cannes are all within 45 minutes by car.

The D2210 connects Vence directly to Cagnes-sur-Mer, where the A8 autoroute provides fast access along the Riviera. Nice Côte d’Azur International Airport is approximately 25 kilometres away, typically 30 to 40 minutes by car depending on traffic, with direct flights to most major European cities and intercontinental connections. The TGV station at Nice-Ville links to Paris in around five and a half hours.
