The Robert Collection (Robert Capital d.o.o.) is based in Porto Montenegro, Tivat.

We moved from the Netherlands to Montenegro in 2019 with our blonde twin boys. As a medical doctor (Mirna) and a marine engineer and navy officer managing a shipyard (Peter), we were looking for a more relaxed and balanced life. After two major health scares—thankfully more than five years ago—our outlook on life changed completely. Our new motto became: “Wealth is about time, not money.”

Our journey in Montenegro began with what we love most: the outdoors and the sea. This passion inspired our family’s ventures. Nicholas runs Montenegro Water Tours, Alexander leads Montenegro Mountain Tours, and Peter continues his lifelong connection with the sea through Montenegro Yachting. Our own experiences renovating homes naturally evolved into Montenegro Real Estate. While that name was simple, it was also too generic and often confused with others. That’s why today, we proudly present our unified family brand: The Robert Collection, with real estate at its heart.

Through The Robert Collection, we share our deep affection for Montenegro and its way of life: slower mornings, longer breakfasts, and evenings spent watching the sun set over the bay. This philosophy guides everything we do in real estate—offering clear, honest advice and sometimes a gentle, “I would not go for this one.” At The Robert Collection, our aim is simple: to be honest and to create community. Most of our clients come from Western Europe and North America, and we love helping them discover life in Montenegro—the country we now call home. Because we value transparency and simplicity, honesty comes first. If a property has legal concerns, we say so. If a future building might block your view, we’ll tell you. Montenegro is a small country; we will see each other at the supermarket or local events, so there’s no room for complications—only positivity and trust. Sometimes we say no to a sale, but we gain something far more valuable: long-term relationships.

We guide families through every step of relocation—from finding housing and schools to opening companies and bank accounts, arranging painters or full renovations, and connecting clients with architects, lawyers, notaries, and other professionals. Occasionally, we host Friday drinks to share experiences, exchange ideas, and welcome new faces to our growing circle.
