Quinta do Paço, an old and respected agricultural property, has been zoned and has been approved for development as a first-class Wellness and Golf Resort. Located on the alluvial plain where the confluence of the Tunes and Algoz streams deposited fertile soil, the property is a mix of high and low terrain with typical elements of the traditional landscape of the Algarve, just 7 km from Albufeira and 30 minutes from Faro Airport. It has groves of carob, almond and centenary olive trees, some centuries old, and supports a thriving population of fauna. This natural beauty inspired the creation of an environmentally responsible development project. With private entrances, the property is an enclosed area of about 122 hectares (300 acres), of which less than 10% (9.5 hectares or 23 acres) will be built. The proposed hotel, tourist village and private homes will be built on gentle hills, some of them overlooking an 18-hole championship golf course and enjoying panoramic views of the region. Quinta do Paço is located in the area defined by the Portuguese Government as an NDT (Tourism Development Center) and the Project integrates the amendment to this PDM (Municipal Master Plan), the official municipal master plan of the Municipality of Silves. In practice, this PDM grants a Planning License for the entire development, including the areas intended for golf and urbanisation. The planning criterion in this case is the number of beds that can be distributed throughout the area. The total number of beds assigned by the City Council to Quinta do Paço NDT is 1100. OPERATIONAL UNITS AND BEDS (Inhabitants) Specifically, Quinta do Paço PUQP NDT includes the following Operational Units and their assigned beds: - Health Clinic - 200 beds; - Rejuvenation Clinic - 100 beds; - Hotel 5* - 280 beds; - Apart-hotel - 140 beds; - 18-hole golf course and Clubhouse (the Clubhouse will eventually be included in the Hotel, thus reducing operating costs); - Three villages of semi-detached houses, with a total of 435 beds; - Two allotments for individual housing, with a total of 245 beds; Spa; And many more services such as - Gym, 24h Concierge, Horseback Riding, Tennis Courts, Restaurant, Swimming Pools and Transportation to the beach.
