A Casa Branca, Nell'alto Alentejo, Una Residenza Del 1924 Con Influenze Arabe

In Casa Branca, in the Alto Alentejo, a 1924 residence with Arabic influences. The Alto Alentejo bears few traces of the cultural exchanges that have nonetheless shaped it for centuries—between Moorish influences and the rural traditions of the plateau. A house in Casa Branca, built in 1924, preserves something of this in its very design: a style that draws as much from the Alentejo vernacular as from a more southerly region.

In Casa Branca, houses of this size can be counted on the fingers of one hand. With its thirteen bedrooms and library, this one remains one of the few that still retains the scale of a bygone era.
