Son Sardina occupies a distinctive position on the northwestern edge of Palma, functioning as a self-contained village that has retained its agricultural character despite sitting within the city’s municipal boundary. Stone farmhouses, narrow lanes, and the surrounding fields of the Tramuntana foothills give the area a rural identity that is genuinely rare at this proximity to a European capital. The port of Palma, serving ferry connections to Barcelona, Valencia, and Ibiza, is similarly accessible within 15 to 20 minutes.
