A wine estate in the heart of the Alto Douro Wine Region.
Located in the Alto Douro Vinhateiro wine region and part of the Controlled Designation of Origin (DOC) area, one of the main attractions of this wine estate is its breathtaking views over the River Douro. Located in Ervedosa do Douro, in the municipality of São João da Pesqueira and the district of Viseu, the property is about 400 meters above sea level and is 8 km from São João da Pesqueira and 13 km from Pinhão, on the left bank of the Douro River, with excellent accessibility, as it is five minutes from the N222.
The combination of wine and olive oil production and the possibility of building properties for tourism increases the value of this property, due to its enormous potential for investment in the tourism sector, which is clearly expanding in the Douro. Due to its privileged location, the land offers a 360º view over the region. There is a lot to see in this region, from the vineyards and viewpoints to the historical landmarks and tastings of the best Portuguese wines, especially Port, which are excellent attractions for tourists visiting the north of Portugal.
The beauty and history of this region, characterized by its vineyards planted on schist hills and ancient terraces, have led to this region being classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The autochthonous grape varieties of the renowned Douro region are grown on the property, including: Tinta Barroca, Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Alicante Bouschet, and around 3 ha of Tinta Roriz. On this estate, with around 15 hectares of vines letter A, B and C, the following were produced in 2024: 54 barrels of DOC wine (around 30,000 liters) and 18 barrels for the production of PDO Port wine (around 10,000 liters).
The area of the quinta stretches over several slopes with excellent sun exposure, and contains a water spring with a support tank, borehole and company water next to the main gate. It is also worth mentioning that the tarmac road passes the entrance to the property.
The property also has a recently restored warehouse with 2 wine presses and ample space for storing agricultural implements.
