Santa Eularia des Riu sits on the eastern coast of Ibiza and has a distinct character that sets it apart from the island’s more frenetic resort towns. It is the only river town in the Balearic Islands, built along the Riu de Santa Eularia, and has long attracted a more settled, year-round residential population. The town centre retains a genuine Ibizan identity, with a whitewashed hilltop church, a working marina, and a promenade that functions as a social hub rather than a tourist corridor.

The marina area offers direct access to restaurants including El Naranjo and Amante, the weekly Las Dalias hippie market in nearby Sant Carles, and the Passeig de s’Alamera promenade. Cala Pada and Es Canar beaches are within a short drive. The town centre has supermarkets, pharmacies, and independent shops within walking distance.

Santa Eularia is approximately 15 kilometres from Ibiza Town, a 20-minute drive via the C-733. Ibiza Airport is roughly 20 kilometres away, around 25 minutes by car. The town has a bus connection to Ibiza Town operating regularly throughout the day. Ferry services from Ibiza Town connect to Formentera, Barcelona, Valencia, and Palma de Mallorca, making the island well integrated into the broader western Mediterranean transport network.
