Ranch A Santa Barbara

Discover Casa Suave Viento, a rare 15-acre mountain retreat surrounded by the million-acre Los Padres National Forest. This unique property with hand-built stone walls, set among mature oaks and glossy, red madrone trees, offers sweeping mountain and ocean views. The beautiful main house has a fireplace in each bedroom and windows that look out onto the canyon, rocks and mountains. Down the gravel path is the Spanish style barn with full guest quarters upstairs and a sun-drenched artists’ studio on the ground floor. Formerly the home to a painter and a potter, this creative, tranquil space is ideal for artists, thinkers, writers, or anyone with a spiritual practice. The lush, wooded property descends toward the headwaters of San Jose Creek, where seasonal waterfalls, dramatic rock formations, roomy caves, and water-carved swimming holes offer years of discovery and adventure all without leaving home. The expansive acreage is prime for horses, llamas, alpacas, and other animals. Casa Suave Viento is a one-of-a-kind home for those who wish to live in the serenity of nature where hawks fly overhead and the only sounds are the wind in the trees or the resident woodpecker.
