Edificio Con Progetto A Sintra

Living in the centre of Sintra Village
This project proposes the requalification and expansion of three buildings located on Rua Soto Maior, in the historic centre of Sintra, reconciling heritage preservation and contemporary architecture.

The intervention maintains the stone masonry facades and the identity elements, introducing modern solutions that improve comfort, functionality and energy efficiency.

The strategy is divided between deep rehabilitation of the interiors using new technologies and materials and the application of traditional methods in conservation areas.

The old stable building will be adapted to housing, including the creation of a basement for parking and storage rooms, with access through the patio reorganised in a courtyard.

The set will result in 9 apartments (T1 and T2) designed to maximise natural light, ventilation and spatial quality.

It is an intervention that respects the historical identity of the place, promoting a contemporary, sustainable and integrated housing solution in the urban context.
