L’imponente Villa Teja presso Recanati, costruita dalla famiglia Leopardi (di cui il poeta Giacomo Leopoardi è il membro più famoso), è un esempio per eccellenza di Villa della metà dell’Ottocento con funzioni sia agricole che residenziali.
