Puigpunyent is a small inland village in the Serra de Tramuntana, the mountain range that runs along Mallorca’s northwest coast and holds UNESCO World Heritage status as a cultural landscape. The village sits in the Vall de Puigpunyent, a quiet agricultural valley at roughly 240 metres elevation, surrounded by olive groves, carob trees, and pine-covered hillsides. It retains the character of a working Mallorcan village, with traditional stone architecture and a pace of life largely unchanged by mass tourism.

Day-to-day needs are covered locally: there is a supermarket, a butcher, and several restaurants in the village. The weekly market in nearby Establiments is a short drive. Palma, with its full range of dining, cultural institutions, and the Mercat de l’Olivar, is approximately 15 kilometres away, around 20 minutes by car.

Palma de Mallorca Airport is approximately 25 kilometres from Puigpunyent, reachable in around 30 minutes by car. The airport operates year-round international routes to major European cities, with significantly expanded connections from spring through autumn. Palma city centre offers ferry connections to Barcelona, Valencia, and other mainland Spanish ports. There is no direct rail or bus service from the village, so a car is essential for daily use.
